The PBS Value Proposition: Positioning in a Competitive Marketplace is an online training designed to enhance your communication and planning skills, increase your product and media knowledge and help you bring in more revenue for your station.

Objectives

By completing this training, you will:

  • expand your knowledge of public media’s mission, in alignment with your station’s goals
  • demonstrate your knowledge of PBS as a distinct and unique multichannel media offering to your community
  • be able to apply PBS product and media knowledge to sponsorship calls
  • hone your prospecting and research skills
  • craft effective approaches to sponsorship prospects, helping you “get in the door”
  • be able to clearly differentiate the value of PBS compared to other broadcast and digital media alternatives, community organizations and nonprofits
  • develop comprehensive qualifying strategies for ensuring that you are speaking to the right person at the right time in the right way
